This activity gives secondary students opportunities to learn outside the classroom and investigate the diversity of religious expression in their community. 

Activity
Work as a team to create an exhibition to illustrate the subject, The diversity of religious expression in my community. To do this, you will need to carry out some research into the local faith community context. The exhibition should consist of ten items chosen by the team. It should include items presented through a range of media such as photographs, art work, written pieces and film/audio materials such as stories and music related to the selected items.

• create a short movie, photo montage or other presentation which depicts the exhibition
• write a description to go with each exhibit item noting its relevance to the exhibition
• explain how the collection of items illustrates diversity in your community

The exhibition should:

• show the diversity of religious expression within the school’s local community, whether within a single religion or across several
• use of a range of media to enliven the exhibition
• have a coherent commentary explaining selection of items
